5/7/2022 UPDATE: I am sad to share this update that my dad passed away on May 2, 2022. As my family and I are taking time to grieve our loss, I will not be rappelling on May 20th with other brave participants at Over The Edge, but a Gilda's Club member will be rappelling in my place.

I truly am grateful for everyone that has supported Gilda's Club Kentuckiana, and I am confident that the team will meet its $100,000 goal by the event. They are really close! 

I appreciate the love and support that has been extended to my family here in America and in the Philippines. It means a lot. Thank you for helping me exceed my personal goal.

These last 3 years have challenged me in ways that I did not expect, so why not also give myself a goal to raise $1,000 to benefit Gilda's Club Kentuckiana in order to send myself "OVER THE EDGE?" That's right! I've decided to overcome my fear of heights and rappel 18 stories down the side of the Hyatt Regency Louisville on May 20th, and here's how you can help me get up there. For every $1 donated to my personal page before May 20,2022, I will match up to $1,000. 

The funds raised for this event will help ensure the community, social connections, coping skills, and access to individual and family short-term counseling offered at Gilda’s Club are sustained for their 1,800+ participants. As a former Associate Board member of Gilda's Club Kentuckiana, this organization holds a special place in my heart. I am no stranger to the cancer journey as my mother is a breast cancer survivor, my dad is currently undergoing treatment for colon cancer, and I had lost my father-in-law to prostate cancer eight years ago. I quickly learned that social and emotional support is needed as much as a cure. Gilda's Club Kentuckiana is able to provide that for their members for FREE with the help of generous donors and volunteers.
