Why am I rappelling 18 stories down the Hyatt in Louisville, KY? To #fightformom. My mom, Dorothy, battled leukemia 14 years ago. Mom was fiercely committed to family and deeply devoted to dad and her 5 kids. I was the middle child who used to like to push mom's buttons, but even so she had a deep love for me and I for her. I miss being able to talk with her and wish she could've seen my kids grow up, she'd be so proud.
Watching family and friends fight cancer can be heartbreaking and helpless. Gilda's Club provides support to combat the fear and anxiety associated with a cancer diagnosis.
