We have all stumbled upon those people who sometimes quietly inspire us in the most trying times of our lives to get where we are going. That is Kate! After kicking cancer's ASS, Kate was searching for ways to turn her experience into positive ways to pay forward the love and support she was blessed with during her journey. Gilda's Club Kentuckiana helped her with support groups, exercise and meditation after her diagnosis with metastatic melanoma, and they continue to provide these services for individuals and their families in our community who are facing a cancer diagnosis. Kate has decided to support Gilda's Club via fundraising...and by rappelling off the side of the 18-story Hyatt downtown Louisville May 2021, and I have decided to join her to continue to pay forward the tremendous strength and inspiration I personally gained just witnessing her journey!
