My name is Charles Walker and I'm from Louisville, Kentucky. I graduated from St. Xavier High School in 2014 and the University of Kentucky in 2018. While at Kentucky I dual-majored in Finance and Marketing while also playing football for the Cats. After school, I like to say I had a "short stint" in the NFL, earning a spot at the Detroit Lions rookie mini camp. It turns out I was a more suitable insurance agent than I was an NFL wide receiver. I now work with my father as a property and casualty insurance agent specializing in the transportation, manufacturing, and construction industry.
I'm participating in the "Over The Edge" event to raise money towards Gilda's Club never-ending mission; At Gilda’s Club Kentuckiana our mission is to ensure those impacted by cancer are empowered by knowledge, strengthened by action and sustained by community.We are dedicated to creating a support system unlike any other.
Many of my friends, family, peers, and loved ones are affected by cancer. I am raising money to "fight the good fight" against cancer diagnosis and all the struggles that come with it.
