I am very excited to be participating in the Over the Edge event to benefit Gilda's Club.

This is my second year as as Associate Board Member and seeing firsthand what Gilda's Club provides the community. It is such a vital (and free!) resource for those who are affected by cancer and being able to play a small part in ensuring that this organization can continue its mission is so rewarding.

I joined the Gilda's associate board to become more involved in the community without much of a personal "why." However, it seems life has a funny way of pulling you in certain directions because only a few months later, my family was blindsided by my Dad's cancer diagnosis. Now more than ever I understand the importance of organizations like Gilda's so that no one who is affected by cancer has to fight alone.
