I feel blessed with the opportunity to go Over the Edge for Gilda's Club Kentuckiana. At Gilda's Club, we believe that no one has to face cancer alone, and I have had the benefit of seeing that in action!
I see it in the art room, when members spend time creating pieces of art together, expressing their feelings and hardships together. I see it through the week, at meals before support groups, watching people become friends, who just so happen to have cancer in common. I see it in the laughter and smiles of the kiddos at Camp Gilda or Noogiefest who I have had the priviledge of getting to spend time with!
Cancer affects everyone in some way at some point. And I want to go Over the Edge in honor of not only my family members who have battled and defeated cancer, but for every person who has or one day could or will walk through the doors at Gilda’s Club in need of the support we offer.
Gilda’s Club Kentuckiana is here for anyone who experiences the toll that cancer can take on their life, and I feel honored to take part in Over the Edge so GCK can continue to ensure no one faces cancer alone.
